Why buy a 2009 end of the year clearance car when you can get a $1,500 factory rebate package on a 2010 Suzuki SX Sport?
Suzuki is getting their 2010 product line off of to the races by getting a good running start in 2009! According to Edmund's, the manufacturer is offering a $1,500 incentive deal on their 2010 deals! Buyers get a $500 factory rebate plus additional incentives including a 2.9% low interest rate.
"We think low rate financing is a good buy right now" said Tim Paynter, CEO of US Autos Direct, llc, a Denver based used vehicle dealer. "We expect rates to increase in 2010 so locking in low rate financing makes a lot of sense."
Paynter says a 2010 model year is not a good idea for everyone.
"We figure the market allows about 10,000 miles a year. If you put on high mileage you will have more of a mileage deduction on a 2010 after 4 years than you will on the 2009 model."
That is because buyers expect a 2009 to have 36,000 miles in three years, and only 24,000 with a 2010 model. If you are looking at the same car side by side and you expect to put on a lot of miles, the mileage deduction could be significant, Paynter explained.
"Over all, a newer car is always the best bet. Then, couple that with a nice rebate package and you have a pretty good deal!" Paynter noted.
The Suzuki SX4 is a compact sedan and an overall good vehicle Paynter thinks.
"The 26 overall mpg is attractive now. If fuel prices go up it will be like a magnet" Paynter said. "Plus it hauls four people in relative comfort.".
Paynter said he expects the car to sell for about $9,000 in three years. With rebates, the base SX 4 is priced at just over $16,000 now.
"You had better hurry if you want the incentive package. 2009 is about to pass into history!" Paynter said.
